The repertoire of the Budapest Symphony Orchestra ranges from the Baroque to contemporary music. Its members feel at home in all music styles as they have graduated from the world famous Liszt Academy of Music (now Liszt Ferenc University of Music). As a professional radio orchestra they and appear regularly not only in the symphony orchestra but in chamber or even solo productions as well. Lighter styles are not alien to them either: they also produce jazz, pop, musical and other genres of light music. They have made recordings for the sound archives of the Hungarian Radio for 75 years. Besides, numerous CDs and film music preserve the output of their work. 

As a symphony orchestra they have performed in the most prestigious concert halls of the world and have appeared with the greatest conductors and soloists of our time.

Resulting from their experiences gathered on stage, they can meet in the course of studio work the highest demands regarding timbre and fidelity to style.

Owing to their decade-long connections they make their recordings in excellently equipped studios with the best conductors, sound engineers and music producers.
